To be that good at Etch-a-Sketch you’ve got waaaay too much free time on your hands. Anyway, the thing I liked best about this little do-hicky was that when you didn’t like the “art” you created, you could just turn it upside down, give it a shake, and the “picture” dissappeared. You could could start all over with a clean slate.
I am posting this message on New Year’s Eve which is a great time to look back over the year gone by and just “give a shake” to some of the stuff that happened. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to say that all of life’s mistakes/bloopers/blunders/sins can be easliy shaken off and easily forgotten. I’ve been around way too long to insinuate that message. However, I do know that many people hold onto stuff that God wants you to repent of and move on. Will there still be repercussions and consequences from your dumb – maybe even sinful - decisions? No doubt. But don’t let mistakes from years gone by ruin your future.
