YOU GAVE!!!!!!

Right smack dab in the middle of extremely shaky financial times – YOU GAVE!
This past weekend we celebrated our annual OFFERING FIT FOR A KING.  The challenge is simply that everyone in our church family would tithe on this day and TEST GOD according to Malachi 3:10.  Well, you came through!!  You never cease to amaze me!  Are you ready for this?  On Saturday night, the Bridge family, with 115 people present, gave over $11,000!!!  Yesterday the WC family gave over $65,000!!!  I really don’t know what to say!  I can’t tell you how proud I am of each and every one of you!  Here’s the deal: When you obey God as you did this weekend, get ready Him to show up in ways you have never seen Him or experienced Him before!!  GOD IS MOVING IN OUR CHURCHES!!  If you were not present this weekend, please don’t miss out on the blessing!  Bring your OFFRING FIT FOR A KING this coming weekend.  THANK YOU!!!

GOOD IDEA or GOD IDEA?
What does God bless?  In his newest book titled “IT”, Craig Groeschel talks about the difference between a GOD idea and a GOOD idea.  II Corinthians 9:10b “In your lives He will increase the things you do that have His approval.”  Paul tells the church at Corinth that God blesses the things we do that have His approval.  So having a “good idea” isn’t good enough.  For God to put His hand on it, it has to be a God idea.  This means that our prayers are not to be, “Hey God, I thought of this really cool and creative way to do Your work in the world.  Please bless my GREAT IDEA.”  Rather, we should pray, “Father, please show me Your will?  Your ways are always best and I ask that You would order my steps and shine your light on the path where I should walk.  It is not in me to know the way that I should go, so I fix my eyes on You and pray as Jesus prayed, ‘Not my will, but Your will be done.’

Hey Pastor! That is AWESOME!!! I am sooo proud of our people for obeying God! I KNOW how pleased He is! See? We are listening with our hearts!

Thank you so much for your patience and faithfulness in bringing us the uncompromised Word — even when it isn’t popular — like about tithing! God is ready to burst Whitley wide open and I’m so glad that we have the privilege of being part of it!

Blessings and Love,
John and Stephanie

Hey! I preached my tithing/giving message at Whitley about 20 years ago! Can’t I take SOME credit for this?! (That’s a JOKE!!!) I LOVE Whitley Church and I am so glad I recently found Pastor Ferrell on Facebook. I have great memories and fond thoughts of my times ministering at Whitley Church. PRAISE GOD FOR THIS GREAT GIVING HEART that Whitely has. I rejoice with you across the miles! Keep glorifying our Great Lord and advancing the Kingdom! Great is your reward!

i would like to reminded people when we gave and give, god says he will bless you more than you gave… some may think that is through money; however, there are some things greater than money. this is how God has blessed our family, on oct 11th, my mother went into the hospital and was immediately admitted to icu. it was touch and go there for out mother. on oct 14th, the dr’s called the family and told us. it could be anytime. i immediately prayed for my mother and called the church to notify the prayer team while i was enroute to be at my mothers bed side. Pastor Jimmy was notified and came to the hospital to be with us during our time of need. When we arrived at the hospital, we were prepared to see her hooked up to all the machines to sustain her life. However, what our family and Pastor Jimmy saw instead was my mother sitting up in the bed, eating and talking to the medical staff. Praise God for all his glory, mercy and wisdom. just remember, there are somethings in this life worth more than money. God knows what we need at the time proper time we need whatever this might be at the time we need it. We then had prayer for my mother there in the hospital and asked for God’s unconditional love, mercy, wisdom and gave thanks for all he does.
